Why we built PSMG

PSMG was born from a very real problem in youth sports.

A few years ago, our founder Paul Ernest was asked to photograph a local volleyball club. It was a great experience—and demand quickly grew as word spread about the quality and consistency he was delivering. Then came the moment that changed everything: an outdoor shoot for a club with more than 1,500 athletes, with no reliable, secure, or professional “traditional” solution that could handle that scale and environment.


So instead of forcing a broken process to work harder, we built a better process.

Paul engineered a modular mobile system designed to produce consistent studio-quality lighting in a sheltered, weather-resistant environment—without relying on the venue for power. That system ultimately led to U.S. patents and became the foundation of the PSMG mobile studio concept.


What makes PSMG different
